Well, I hear the race and tropical theme, in the same time in the intro, but there is a bit of a problem for me in the theming, and this is that for most of the music, it is the racing theme that is promoted, but excepted the start and the drop from the end part, I dont much feel the tropical theming into the song. Nice racing song still.

Overall rating : Maybe something like 8.5/10 into my personal opinion of the song.
Theming rating for Tropical theme : 5/10, in some parts it is well integrated but in other parts I dont feel it at all.
Theming rating for Race theme : 9/10, present through the whole song, though the actual music is using the same way to integrate it during the whole song.

Overall, pretty nice song.

Voytek-Music responds:

Thanks!

Well, not everyone will agree with me, but I dont feel it as 'race'. I feel like I already heard a part of the melody somewhere even if I dont know where. The overall music is good, and I can hear the tropical part in it.

Overall rating : 7/10
Tropical theming : 6/10, not as present as in other ngmc tracks for r2.
Racing theming : 4/10, I dont feel it but some has felt it, so I dont know.

Albe responds:

This comment is entirely subject to MY opinions on the matter, not Everratic's, so take it out with me in any case. "Not everyone will agree with me" i have good news for you, literally everyone else agrees. it's literally the 4th comment that mentions it. I know all of you expected some high-energy high-adrenaline supersonic-lightspeed dubstep or trance music to accompany the vibes race usually have because typically race = fast, but if you look at mario kart wii for example you'll find many of the songs there are just like this, chill, but on a faster tempo. Or maybe I just enjoy shattering everyone else's expectations with ludonarrative dissonance. Anyways, I'll make sure to include more serum 2 dubstep factory presets next time I make a tropical track so I can bump up the "tropical" theming a little bit further. Thanks for your feedback!

Well, for a track itself, it deserves more than these 3 little stars... But knowing the actual theming behind it, I don't understand. It does absolutely not sound like a tropical or race theme to me even though the music is good.

Theming : Tropical theme : 2.5/10
Racing theme : 2/10
General : 8/10

DaxCamdaxian responds:

It's cool to see the difference between cultures through music, in my country, cumbia, which is the genre of our song, is deeply rooted in tropical music, there's even a subgenre called tropical cumbia

I appreciate that even though you don't feel the theme is applied to the song, you enjoyed it. Thank you for listening to it! :)

Okay, you're at your own level.

2nd music I listen from you, and I know this will not be the last one.

Preds responds:

thank you! it means a lot :>

OP track, shame that I haven't listened to it on ng before
This is what I call DnB

CasualBreather responds:

Thx a lot bruv'!

As expected for me very early in the competition, there are plural DnB entries. I am not blaming DnB as it is a genre I like, but well, even when the actual music is more than decent, the style choice has been used many times :/

Excepted that, it feels pretty well the theme, and I dont see much to say about. For this I would need to add a distinction too

Overall ranking : 8/10
Theming rank : 7/10
Contest rank (In all my own criterias that are not to be considerated) : 6/10

Snikio responds:

thank you so much!!
I'll think about ways to refine this and make it even more special

Well, this is not a style I were expecting, this track is pretty original. In the context of the entry, it could really evoke me a race, I have a scene in mind while listening to it, the only thing that perturbates me... Well, since I started to write this before the end of the song, I need to delete what I were writing. Anyway, nice work. Tho the style itself reminds me of pokemon retro games

Overall ranking : 8/10
Theming rank : 8/10

ZuwerWS responds:

If I could ask you, what was the thing you were meaning to write? You got me curious

Honnestly I can feel the Mariokart sounding here, so I see the actual race atmosphere. But I dont feel this so "Arctic themed", I personally already have too much of the mk8's races in mind so it feels more for me like the yoshi circuit of the dlc

Edit : Tbh after listening to the OST of the yoshi's circuit again, I agree it's not very similar. I dont know why I imaginated this circuit in my mind when listening to the song still xD

Overall rating : 8/10
Theming rate : 5/10

Everratic responds:

Thanks for stopping by to leave a review! I listened to the Yoshi's Circuit track from MK8 and couldn't identify the similarity, but I still get that it doesn't fit what you had in mind for an arctic theme.

This reminds me a bit of the songs from The Prodigy. Very interesting song !

CasualBreather responds:

Thanks! I grew up with Prodigy so I may have been influenced a lot! It's a big compliment!

Very emotional lyrics if you get it right

Nice instrumental

I dont understand if someone vote less than 10/10, it's a bad note for this song, this shall be higher ...

CasualBreather responds:

Thanks Fantasist ! Don't exagerate it xD, still a pleasure to read tho :3 !!

I like the world :)
